Terms of Service

MangaZen is a hosting platform for community-uploaded manga-related content and related tools (including user accounts, reading progress, comments, and features for scan groups and creators). We act strictly as a hosting provider: we do not create, select, or edit the uploaded material.

Users who upload or publish content (for example, scan teams or creators) represent that they have the rights or permissions required to make that material available. You understand that third-party uploads may include material to which others claim rights.

We may change, limit, or discontinue features to keep the service secure, legal, and sustainable, with reasonable notice when appropriate.

You must be at least 13 years old to use MangaZen. If you are between 13 and the age of majority where you live, you should use the service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

You agree that the information you provide when registering is accurate and that you will keep your account information up to date.

You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, pose a security risk, or as required to comply with law or protect other users.

Zen Coins and Zen Shards are virtual balances displayed on the platform. They have no cash value, are not legal tender, cannot be redeemed for money, and are non-refundable. They exist as a symbolic recognition mechanism so users can show appreciation for scan teams and community effort.

Zen Coins and Zen Shards are not wages, fees for views, or guaranteed compensation. Nothing on the platform should be understood as promising payment based on views, traffic, or engagement.

We may, at our sole discretion, offer discretionary incentives, loyalty-style recognition, or community prizes to particularly active contributors. Any such benefits are gratuitous, non-binding, and do not create an obligation to pay you or anyone else.

We may adjust balances, rules, or availability of Zen Coins and Zen Shards to maintain fairness, prevent abuse, or comply with applicable requirements.

You agree not to:

• Upload or distribute content you are not authorized to share, or that infringes intellectual property or other rights;
• Harass, threaten, or defame others, or distribute illegal or harmful material;
• Attempt to break, disrupt, or overload the service, or access data you are not authorized to access;
• Use automated systems to scrape or abuse the platform in violation of our technical policies;
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation;
• Circumvent security, access controls, or age or regional restrictions we apply.

You may stop using MangaZen at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, legal demands, or operational necessity.

To the extent permitted by law, MangaZen is provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation. Our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Certain jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions; in those cases, our liability is limited to the minimum extent allowed.
